Marine Surveyor (Communications & Navigation)

Responsibility Able to conduct Radio survey of GMDSS equipment. Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in Marine navigation systems such as Marine Radar, Gyro compass, Magnetic compass, autopilot, echo sounder, speed log, steering - FFU/NFU, weather fax, wind speed/direction etc Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in communication systems such as GMDSS, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, NBDP, NDB, Navtex, Inmarsat, FBB, Local Area networks, email system etc. Servicing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine communication and navigation equipment. Providing technical support on email / phone enquiries to service coordinators. Mainly job duties at Shipyard, anchorage, and overseas for installation, commissioning, service, troubleshooting, repair and warranty. Ensure conformance to ensure test results are consistent.
