Job Summary Grade 7: £38,313.51 (£19.86 p/h) – £ (£22.76 p/h) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Hilton Depot, Bishopbriggs Working Hours The role operates on a rotating shift pattern: • Dayshift: Mon–Thu (06:30 – 14:30), Fri (06:30 – 14:00) • Backshift: Mon–Thu (10:00 – 18:30), Fri (06:30 – 11:30) The Role We are looking for a qualified and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our fleet workshop team at the Hilton Depot. You will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of the Council’s entire vehicle and plant fleet. Reporting to the Workshop Co-ordinator, your day-to-day duties will involve servicing, safety inspections, and general repairs to industry standards. Working for a Council means variety. You won’t just be doing HGVs, you’ll work on cars, vans, sweepers, tractors, and specialised plant equipment.
