Position: Trailer Mechanic
Job Description:
Forward Air is looking for a self-motivated individual to join the maintenance team as a full-time Trailer Mechanic. Duties include maintaining all aspects of vehicles, trailers, and other mechanical equipment of Forward Air. This individual will be expected to do this while adhering to the compliance of all FA Policies, safe work practices, and maintaining high customer service.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
+ Evaluate status of mechanical equipment, and trailers
+ Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations
+ Perform minor trailer repairs
+ Perform tire mounting/dismounting and repairs
+ Perform minor cosmetic repairs
+ Conduct various analysis and inspections of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical systems to determine the most cost-effective means of maintenance, repair, or replacement
