Job Description
- Perform routine servicing on heavy vehicles and trailers, including oil changes, brake adjustments, electrical system and component lubrication.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in engines, transmissions, differentials, and clutches.
- Conduct thorough inspections of trailers, including landing gear, suspension systems, and air coupling mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical faults using diagnostic software and wiring diagrams.
- Repair and replace wiring looms, lighting systems, and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Diagnose issues with starting and charging systems.
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, hoses, and cylinders.
- Perform pressure tests and adjust hydraulic systems to manufacturer specifications (e.g., on tippers, loaders, or tail lifts).
