Mechatronic Engineer

Main Purpose

The purpose of this position is to review and identify processes requiring automation. This position reports to the Process Engineering Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

• Review and identify processes for automation.
• Equipment selection based on performance, reliability, cost, and compatibility.
• Programming and Control: Hardware, software, and firmware.
• Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes of identified processes to evaluate their performance and validate their designs by collecting data, analyzing results, and making improvements based on the findings.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance: Diagnose and rectify issues related to automation systems. Identify faults and implement corrective measures to ensure the systems operate optimally. Routine maintenance and calibration tasks may be required.
