Responsibilities

• participating in technical, professional and quality in‑services and education
• participating in staff and patient experience and feedback initiatives, professional development, teaching/educational activities, safety and quality improvement programs to ensure excellence in the provision of services
• reading and confirming laboratory policies and procedures through document control software
• forwarding suggestions for policy and procedure improvement or corrections required to the Charge or Team Leader
• performing laboratory procedures for specific discipline(s) and functions and ensuring the completion of assigned workload
• operating, troubleshooting and maintaining cleanliness of laboratory equipment and work area; preparing written and electronic reports required to document procedures and test results; participating in teaching, educational, safety and quality improvement programs
