**Description:**

Performs and reports all assigned tests with expected precision and accuracy and obtains blood or other body fluid from patients. Operates computer equipment and software programs relative to performance of essential job functions and other laboratory related requirements. Records all required quality control results. Maintains, calibrates, and repairs equipment with accurate records of services. Performs all duties and responsibilities as outlined in CLIA regulations. Maintains and appropriate inventory of supplies in the assigned area. Prepares reagents or media in prescribed manner. Participates in the evaluation of new procedures, equipment and methods. Set up cultures, read gram stains, and perform rapid kit testing in Microbiology.
