Job Summary

Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position (1.0 FTE) at any/open rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) in the Department of Medical Education to contribute to curriculum design, education, and curriculum leadership in the discipline of medical humanities and health justice. Candidates with training in the medical/health humanities (including health-related social sciences and the arts) are encouraged to apply. Teaching and research expertise could include, but are not limited to, medical/health humanities, health justice, social determinants of health and advocacy and community-engaged scholarship. A successful candidate will help support the teaching and research efforts of the Center for Medical Humanities and help lead curriculum content in the area of health justice, as integrated into the Systems, Society, and Humanism in Medicine (SSHM) core in the MD program.
