Medical Support Assistant

Summary The Inpatient Medical Support Assistant (MSA) functions as serving as an initial point of contact for the VAMC inpatient ward units. Duties included, but not limited to: coordination of patient admissions, discharges and transfers. Verification of doctor's orders and treatment orders, completeness and accuracy of all actions/documentation. This position requires a practical knowledge of computerized data entry, information processing systems and software related to patient care.
