A relief full‑time opportunity exists for a Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Crisis Response Clinician | RCMP Liaison to join the welcoming Mental Health Substance Use team at the Nelson Health Centre in beautiful Nelson, B.C.
This relief position is until August 28, 2026 or the return of the incumbent.
Who are we looking for?
- Two years of post‑graduate experience working in an acute mental health environment, specifically in crisis intervention and risk assessment.
- Strong foundation in acute mental health presentations and a working knowledge of substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
- Ability to work autonomously as the sole mental health clinician supporting clients and community partners.
- Solid understanding of Indigenous communities and resources, ideally those in the Kootenay areas.
