Mental Health Professional, Program Evening Coordinator

Support patients and psychotherapists in the implementation and continued adherence to each patient's treatment plan. Patients typically are suffering from alcohol and opioid abuse stemming from conditions such as Schizophrenia and Major Depression. Pilsen Wellness Center (PWC) in most instances will rehabilitate a patient with a dual approach, dealing with both the mental health and substance abuse disorders at the same time. Treatment usually includes medication training and monitoring; individual and group therapy sessions; providing education on symptom management, coping skills, home management and independent living skills in order to foster independence and reintegration back into the community. In some instances, PWC will prescribe FDA approved treatments to mitigate the effects of withdrawal.
