Mental Health Therapist (Department of Mental Health) - #Staff

We are seeking a **_Mental Health Therapist._** This role will involve providing brief suicide prevention interventions and assist with study management, preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation, reporting to PCORI, and administrative tasks for a study funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). The results will inform the future standard of care for youth at risk for suicide presenting in the emergency department.

**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Assisting with the recruitment of patients for research studies.
+ Obtaining consent and assent from patients and families for research participation.
+ Conducting baseline assessments REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) for patients enrolled in research studies.
+ Participating in the randomization of patients in the emergency department for research purposes.
+ Providing clinical expertise on the management of research participants.
