Metallurgist

Howmet Engines (HES) is seeking a Metallurgist to support the Quality department and Sales activities. Investigate and conduct experiments concerned with physical characteristics, properties, and processing of metals to develop methods of commercially manufacturing forgings from primarily Ferrous, Titanium and Nickel base alloys by performing the following duties:

This position is located at our aerospace forging plant in Rochester, NY. This position is eligible for $1000. sign-on bonus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Using a working knowledge of primarily Ferrous, Titanium and Nickel base alloy metallurgy and processing, and the associated impact on microstructure, mechanical and physical properties, work with the Sales Department on Contract Review.
+ Understand and work to Quality requirements of our major Aerospace customers including Product Approvals and non-conformance controls.
