MILITARY PAY TECHNICIAN

Summary The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties as the senior military pay technician and primary point of contact for all military pay issues, transactions, and procedures for active, reserve, inactive reserve (IMA) or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. Responsible for resolving the more difficult complex actions, developing and revising local procedures and providing liaison functions between base organizations and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Responsibilities As the senior technician, monitors, reviews or initiates complex transactions where guidelines lack specificity to requirements, circumstances or problems, and/or frequently change. Serves as the primary point of contact on reserve pay actions and coordinator on resolving reserve pay matters.
