Mobile Caretaker

About the Role

Our Schools Traded Teams deliver services across 55 primary and 5 secondary schools in the Borough. As a Caretaker you will be responsible for the care, security, general maintenance and operational effectiveness of our schools, ensuring safe, clean and well‑maintained learning environments for staff and pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day‑to‑day cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Operate key‑holding duties, including controlling access and organising keys.
• Coordinate subcontractors for repairs and maintenance work.
• Store and manage cleaning equipment, including ventilation and grounds maintenance supplies.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with health and safety procedures.
• Complete routine paperwork and report incidents.
• Assist with mobile working, providing additional cover across multiple locations as required.
