TITLE/SALARY GRADE: Motor Vehicle Operators, SG-7
SALARY: : $38,235 ($18.31 hourly) non-negotiable (NOTE: current or reconstructed salary for state employees in accordance with NYS Audit and Control)
DURATION: Permanent - Full time
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The selected candidates will drive a variety of motor vehicles, primarily a bus on and off State property. Driver will be responsible for the transportation of people or cargo, maintaining a log, pre and post trip inspections, vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance. When no driving is available, drivers will help with other tasks as needed and assigned by the supervisor. Candidates must also pass a mandated per-employment drug screening test and DOT physical..
