Motor Vehicle Operator

Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Operations DC, Washington National Records Center. The incumbent operates a truck with a gross vehicle weight of over 22,000 pounds, to transport federal records and other cargo between Federal agencies and Congress. This may include occasionally operating a passenger vehicle such as a car or van and using equipment to load, unload and move cargo within a facility. All appropriate licenses are required. Responsibilities As a Motor Vehicle Operator, you will: Operate government vehicles to transport records, equipment, and materials between agency locations while ensuring the safe handling and security of all items, including classified and sensitive records.
