National Surgical Quality Improvement Leader

Lead surgical quality efforts as a Champion for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. This role involves collaboration with healthcare providers for enhancing patient safety and reducing perioperative risks.
As an NSQIP Champion, you will guide physicians on surgical quality and patient safety initiatives. Accountable to the Local Department Head of Surgery, you will partner with the NSQIP Regional Team to identify key improvement strategies. The role requires about six hours monthly, including reviewing NSQIP data and attending crucial meetings and conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the local Surgical Clinical Reviewer for improvement opportunities
• Review semi-annual NSQIP reports with the Regional Team
• Develop one quality improvement project annually
• Attend FH collaborative meetings and NSQIP summits
