This position is a Natural Resources Specialist , GS-0401-07/09 working in Carlsbad, New Mexico for the Division of Resources. There will be one position filled at either the GS-07 or GS-09 level. Responsibilities Preparation and monitors plans to assess, improve or expand natural resources, and to alleviate or eliminate detrimental management impacts created by other resource uses upon the landscape. Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) to evaluate potential harm from new projects or activities. Use environmental modeling tools to predict the potential effects of pollutants or resource extraction.
