Job Responsibilities

Provide direct care to students, including but not limited to medication, first aid, and emergency medical assistance. Provide nursing assessments, treatments, medication, and medical care to all students as needed for routine and acute visits. Maintain satisfactory medical records by recording and reporting of student symptoms, reactions, and progress through analysis of student records. Report pertinent medical information regarding students to the school physician and/or Nursing Administrator. Dispense medication and other treatments necessary, including arranging appointments and follow up visits with the school's Medical Director and/or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Prepare medications and paperwork for field trips and delegate the administration of medication, when appropriate and as allowed by state law, to an approved Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.
