Nurse Practitioner Cardiology

Summary The Marion VA Health Care System is actively recruiting a full-time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join the Specialty Care Clinics within Nursing Service located in Evansville IN. Responsibilities Duties unique to Cardiology include but are not limited to: Collaborate with the physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to provide care in the Outpatient Clinics, including Cardiology. Provide specialty care to referred patients, including patients with acute and chronic Cardiology problems in the outpatient setting. Provide ongoing patient care and management of cardiovascular health problems to Cardiology patient population. Evaluate patients for other health care needs and request other specialty consultation as needed, referring patients to his PCP to follow other main medical issues (which are not part of the cardiology scope of practice) and other medical problems pertaining to other sub-specialties.
