Opportunity Description
The nurse practitioner manages all aspects of the patients care as pertains to comprehensive assessment, ordering, and overseeing the management of conventional chemotherapy and support of clinical services. It is important that a friendly, caring, courteous, and professional attitude is displayed at all times as this person has front-line contact with patients and families.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide collaborative comprehensive care to oncology patients. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patient's specific needs
- Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to the patient's needs. Initiates and documents appropriate interactions with patients and consulting physicians. Coordinates patient care and complete of documentation in a timely manner according to company policy
- Provides Education to meet patient/family needs
