Nursery Manager – Maples Day Nursery

Location: Maples Day Nursery, Winchester, SO22 6RT.

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday‑Friday between 07:00‑18:30. Salary: £42,178.50‑£55,419 per annum (pro‑rata) plus discretionary bonus scheme. Reporting to: Area Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a nursery with a capacity of 124 places.
• Deliver against the corporate plan, meeting occupancy, financial and staff retention targets.
• Provide exemplary customer care and maintain the nursery’s strong reputation.
• Ensure the well‑being of children and staff, safeguarding best practice, and effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• DfE approved early‑years qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Current or very recent experience managing a large early‑years setting.
