Clinical Nutrition Laboratory Technician

The Clinical Nutrition Laboratory Technician is responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory, and management of enteral nutrition (human milk, formulas, and additives). Critical functions include: use of the bar code scanning software to manage receipt, storage, preparation, labeling, and delivery of human milk. Keep work surfaces and equipment clean before, during, and after each feeding preparation of feeding. Calculate and write recipes for each feeding, utilizing resources in the nutrition lab or consulting the dietitian as needed. Prepare feedings, following all safe practices and according to precise calculations in each recipe. Store prepared feedings in appropriate temperature-controlled environments before, during, and at delivery.
