NVI: Waste Management & Recycling

Summary

The job holder will be responsible for providing supervision to prisoners in the waste management and recycling environments within an establishment. The role involves supervising prisoner work parties, transferring knowledge and skills for safe and effective waste collection, and ensuring proper disposal. The position requires managing workshop tools, equipment, and raw materials, as well as maintaining high levels of security, good order and hygiene in workshop areas. It is a non operational, non line management role that is non rotational.

Responsibilities, Activities & Duties

• Supervise and escort prisoners to collect, process and dispose of waste/recycling from all areas inside the establishment, complying with Health and Safety policies and legislation.
