Job Overview of Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist must possess knowledge of Occupational Therapy theories, models of practice and principles to provide quality evidence based Occupational Therapy services. The Occupational Therapist must be skilled in gathering thorough screening and evaluation data; development and implementation of IEPs to meet the individual needs of the student. The Occupational Therapist must have the ability to select, adapt and sequence relevant occupational and purposeful activities that support intervention goals; The Occupational Therapist will work in direct collaboration with the Occupational Therapy team to maintain the integrity and advance the development of the Orchard School Occupational Therapy Department, including the optimal usage, safety and proper maintenance of our sensory rooms.
