Occupational Therapist Assistant

Works under the directionand supervision of the occupational therapist. The occupational therapist assistantimplements selected components of the therapeutic interventions and activitiesof daily living, obtains data related to the interventions provided, and makesmodifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient asdirected by the occupational therapist or to ensure patient's safety andcomfort. This may include adaptation ormodification of the environment or objects within the environment to facilitateengagement and participation.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Implements the individualized plan of care as established bythe occupational therapist.
• Adjusts treatment interventions in response to patientfeedback, objective data and observation within the established plan of care.Identifies need for changes in plan of care and communicates with supervisingoccupational therapist.
