Summary The Hampton VA Medical Center is a 1-C, teaching facility serving Eastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina. The main campus is located in Hampton, Virginia with 4 community-based outpatient clinics in Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist is assigned to Home Based Primary Care. The incumbent will maintain skills, knowledge an ability to the areas above. He/she will ensure that the practice is consistent with Joint Commission, CARF, VA policies and procedures, VISN standards, national statutes and regulations, medical record documentation, mandatory continuing education, and HIPPA policies. Treatment is based on behavioral science theories and medical science and is elevated in corroboration with the supervising physician.
