Responsibilities

Apply Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy principles to assess, prescribe, provide and maintain mobility, posture and supportive seating equipment for patients of all ages, including children and adults.

Assist with the introduction of the national Multi‑grip hand/digit prosthesis NHSE policy for Upper Limb amputees.

Conduct comprehensive, holistic assessments of patients and carers, planning, implementing and evaluating care delivery in response to changing health needs.

Work autonomously using advanced history‑taking and examination skills, within multidisciplinary team guidelines and protocols.

Develop and implement wheelchair, pressure‑relieving cushions and special seating prescriptions, maintaining a high level of knowledge of disease patterns, condition progression markers and available interventions.
