The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a tenure eligible Open Rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) position to start August 2026. This clinical faculty position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the management of orthopaedic sports medicine with a strong commitment to musculoskeletal research.
Experience in the sub-specialized area of sports shoulder, knee and/or hip arthroscopy and team coverage is preferred. Qualified applicants must have demonstrated clinical expertise and the ability to perform quality basic scientific or clinical research. Candidates must have a MD and be board-eligible or board-certified as well as have completed a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery concentrating in sports medicine.
