Ophthalmologist – Vitreoretinal Surgeon (200-1882) (Permanent Specialty)

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) Department of Surgical Services is seeking a fellowship trained surgical retina specialist to join the Division of Ophthalmology in Nanaimo to provide services to the community and subspecialist services to the region.

Eligible applicants must:
- be a Canadian citizen, have permanent residency, or legal status in Canada;
- hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Ophthalmology;
- have completed ophthalmology residency in Canada;
- have a minimum 1 year of vitreoretinal surgery post graduate fellowship training completed by July in a recognized fellowship program;
- and, be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.

The successful candidate will have surgical time allocated to them in the main operating room with anesthesiology support.
