Responsibilities- Evaluate patient health by testing vision functions and abilities.
- Provide primary eye care through ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses or other corrective devices.
- Diagnose ocular defects and write prescriptions; refer patients to ophthalmologists as needed.
- Document patient histories and prescribe medications as necessary.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated according to safety protocols.
