Opportunity Description
The Senior Engineer, Database Service is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet business needs and service levels for databases in both on-premises and cloud environments (Azure). This includes Oracle (11g, 12c, 19c), RAC and non-RAC environments, as well as MSSQL, SQL Managed Instance (SQLMI), MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases, including clustered deployments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 operational database support for Oracle databases and MSSQL/SQLMI/MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB environments (on-premises and cloud), covering administration, performance tuning, security hardening, backup, Data Guard configuration and maintenance, reporting, and recovery procedures
- Respond promptly to incidents, investigate root causes, and provide permanent resolutions for escalated issues
