Opportunity Description
MRI Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Orion Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Engineer on the JETS II contract at NASA Johnson Space Center. In this role, you will develop and evaluate safety-critical, human-rated GN&C flight software for NASA's Orion spacecraft, supporting the Artemis Program and future crewed deep space missions. You will be embedded with a collaborative team of engineers at the forefront of human spaceflight technology development.
A typical day involves developing and testing GN&C algorithms in MATLAB and Simulink, collaborating with NASA civil servants to refine flight software requirements, and reviewing simulation results from 6 DOF analysis tools. In the morning you may be updating orbital mechanics models or authoring requirements documentation; in the afternoon you could be integrating new trajectory optimization algorithms or presenting analysis findings to the project team. The work is intellectually challenging, mi...
