Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre seeks an Overdose Prevention Worker for relief shifts focused on harm reduction and community outreach. Your expertise will contribute to safer lives across Toronto.
As part of the Mobile Covid and Harm Reduction Outreach Services, you will provide health support, manage crisis situations, and help educate clients about overdose prevention. This role requires adaptability and teamwork while addressing a variety of client needs in shelters and community sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide immediate support during overdose events
• Collaborate with Client Support Workers and coordinators
• Conduct drills and simulations for preparedness
• Deliver safer injection education to community members
• Document client interactions in communication databases

• Relevant degree or significant lived/work experience
• Minimum 2 years working in overdose response
