Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Non-competitive Temp Appointment Authority to Meet Critical Hiring Needs in the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Park Ranger assisting the ranger staff with the routine day-to-day duties required to operate and maintain the recreational facility to which the employee is assigned. Responsibilities Provides routine visitor assistance such as: answering visitor's questions relating to the recreational facility; giving directions to the park's camp grounds, picnic areas and boating areas; providing instructions and information to the public. Refers matters of public concern or safety issues to the appropriate park staff member. Assists higher graded Park Rangers in the development, presentation and maintenance of interpretive programs.
