Park Ranger

Summary About the Position: Serve as a Park Ranger for the recreational facility to which assigned. Provide on-going technical support to a Program Ranger in one or more of the following program areas: recreation management, natural resources management, visitor assistance and interpretation. Relocation and Recruitment incentives, including student loan repayment, may be offered to highly qualified candidates. Responsibilities Assist the Supervisory Park Ranger with developing and executing any one or more of the programs. Maintain complete and accurate records to be used by the Supervisory Park Ranger to evaluate program effectiveness and proposed plans. Inspect campgrounds, picnic areas, government buildings, trails, roads, water shores and parking areas. Participate in a variety of Resource Management projects designed to maintain and enhance the resource and to provide a quality natural environmental experience for the visiting public.
