Pathology Physician

We are currently working to assist a client in Decatur, Alabama with a short-term need in December. The dates are December 15-22, and this particular location will be using additional coverage in 2023. There is an opportunity for ongoing part-time coverage/work for the right candidate. • 30-35 cases per day. Number of blocks per day are approximately 75.
• Types of cases: GI biopsies, GYN biopsies, skin biopsies, prostate biopsies, bladder biopsies, breast biopsies, lung biopsies (for tumor), appendix, tonsils, gallbladders, hernias, mastectomies, colon resections among other general AP cases. There is no neuropathology or transplant pathology.
• There are 2 histotechs and one cytotech. There is no PA, so locums will gross each day.
• Locums should be comfortable cutting their own frozens.
