This position will support setting up Telehealth visits for NYS Dept of Corrections clients with Albany Medical Center Emergency Medicine Providers. Position will process incoming referrals and be the liaison between the ED provider and DOCCS, setting up Webex and maintaining appointment calendar. Position is weekdays to include evenings and nights. Weekends include day, evening and overnight shifts, including holiday coverage.
The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for the capture of demographic and insurance information either by telephone or patient facing. Position is required to use eligibility application to invoke request to verify insurance eligibility, interpret response and capture appropriate health insurance information as it pertains to the service being rendered.
