Payroll and Finance Officer

Temporary Labour Hire Contract ($69/hr + super) | Canberra or Sydney | 3-month initial contract (strong potential to transition to permanent or be extended)

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll & Finance Officer to step into a pivotal role within a well-established finance team.

This position sits at the heart of payroll operations, taking ownership of the end-to-end process for a growing workforce of approximately 130–170 employees. You’ll work closely with an outsourced payroll provider while remaining hands-on, ensuring each cycle runs accurately, efficiently, and in line with legislative requirements. Beyond payroll, you’ll contribute to broader finance activities, from reconciliations and reporting through to improving systems and processes.
