Archway is supporting a large government organisation who are looking for a Payroll Specialist/Consultant to support with a shorter length, but high impact contract. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, the organisation is entrusting the contractor role to help in strengthening internal capability, systems, and processes to support long term performance and resilience.

Role

This is a senior Payroll Specialist contract focused on lifting payroll capability, controls, and visibility. You will take ownership of delivering a series of improvements following an external payroll review. This is a hands on, delivery focused role where you will define what best practice looks like and lead the implementation of change across governance, reporting, and operational processes. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, bringing structure and clarity to a function that is performing but has opportunity to mature further.
