Pediatrician

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

+ Obtain medical and developmental history as appropriate.
+ Perform comprehensive or focused physical exams.
+ Order appropriate screening and diagnostic studies.
+ Prescribes medications and treatments, as indicated.
+ Provides patient and family education and instructions regarding medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
+ Consults / collaborates with physicians and other allied professionals.
+ Determines if referrals are needed.
+ Keep complete and accurate records in the patients chart.
+ Assures that adequate patient health records are maintained and transferred as required when patients are referred.
+ Participate in the development, execution and periodic review of the written policies governing the services the clinic furnishes
+ Participates with a physician in a periodic review of the patients’ health records.
