People & Culture Specialist

CSP has exclusively partnered with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in their search for a People & Culture Specialist. This individual will serve as the first HR hire and will be responsible for building and leading the HR function from the ground up.

This role requires strong “department of one” experience and deep expertise in employee relations. The position is hybrid based in Baltimore, MD.

Position Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Workplace Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations and workplace concerns
• Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and workplace expectations
• Document employee relations matters and support corrective action processes
• Partner with leaders to address performance, behavioral, and conduct issues
• Maintain confidentiality and escalate matters appropriately
