Role of the post holder: To lead and support the local implementation of perinatal pelvic health service (PPHS) designed at Epsom and St Helier in collaboration with Southwest London (SW Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS), Surrey Heartlands and NHS England. This is in line with the NHS Long Term plan commitment to improve access topostnatal physiotherapy services for women. The local ambition is that all women are to have education and advice around pelvic health and access to Physiotherapy services in the postnatal period.

The post holder will be a champion for Pelvic Health and the expectation is that they will be responsible for promoting good quality midwifery/ obstetric led interventions which aim to reduce pelvic floor muscle dysfunction for childbearing women.
