Personal Assistant – WSNCL

Location : Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours : Term time: up to 12 hours per month. School holidays: up to 18 hours per month

Rate of pay : £13.50 per hour

Job description

We are looking for 2 Personal Assistants to provide support to a fun loving and humorous 16 year old young man who is non-verbal, has learning disabilities, is wheelchair based, has an epilepsy profile and is PEG fed.

Afterschool and early evening (4pm – 10pm) home‑based support involving providing full personal care and bathing on a 1 to 1 basis.

Trips out (10am – 4pm) support in the community, offering independence, cinema trips, music, meeting friends and visiting interactive spaces (e.g. Centre for Life/Blue Reef Aquarium). The client requires Changing Places toileting facilities when in the community and, therefore, needs 2 to 1 PA support on trips out.

Termtime these will be 1 trip/month on a Saturday. In the school holidays these will...
