Pharmacy Intern - Retail Pharmacy - Per Diem

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of medications for patients within the hospital. Assisting in the compounding and mixing of IV medications once completion of Simplifi 797 education series on compounding IV preparations and passing all gloved fingertip testing and media fill testing. Will be able to round with Clinical Pharmacist on ICU patients and will participate in Medication reconciliation process and direct patient education with pharmacist for group education settings and one on one education sessions with patients. Must be supervised by a licensed pharmacist.

Education, License & Cert: High School Diploma. Enrollment in a College of Pharmacy and eligible for NYS Pharmacy Intern Permit Licenses: New York State Pharmacy Intern Permit

Experience: No previous hospital pharmacy job experience is required.
