Pharmacy Technician- Inpatient

Summary This is the full performance level for Pharmacy technicians. Employees at the full performance level may fill orders, dispense/deliver medications using automated systems or provide technical customer service to Veterans related to prescription needs. The primary duty will be providing pharmacy services and medication distribution to Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) patients and staff. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to: Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Medication Management: Communicates to CBOCs via email/leaf portal regarding medication requests. Reviews patient profiles to ensure active order(s) and provides medications/vaccines needed to a pharmacist for final check prior to dispensing. Reviews OmniCell inventory reports for CBOCs and prepares medications/vaccines needed for pharmacist final check prior to dispensing.
