JOB DESCRIPTION

• 1. To understand and carry out pharmaceutical care in line with Vision and mission, Core Values, Goals and objective that suit the scope of the Pharmacy services and the hospital.
• 2. To understand the service organization structure.
• 3. To attend meetings held by the services in order to discuss issues and matters pertaining to the operation of the service.
• 4. To be the first liner in all dispensing duties which include:
  • Screening and order entry of prescriptions/ drug charts.
  • Confirmation with doctors in the event of illegible handwriting, dosage/ frequency/ duration error or drug not available.
  • Compounding pharmaceutical products for extemporaneous use.
  • Packaging, labelling, checking and dispensing of medications.
  • Sending prepared medications to the ward.
