PhD Fellow in Human-AI Collaborative Remanufacturing Systems

The position

An exciting PhD position is available at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology, located in Narvik at UiT.

The position will be affiliated with the research group “Intelligent Manufacturing and Logistics” and its interrelated Technological Competence Center for Arctic Logistics Operations (ArcLog). It is a 4‑year contract; the first 3 years correspond to the nominal PhD programme and the fourth year is split into teaching and other duties.

The position’s field of research

The PhD fellow will work on the project “Digital Reverse Logistics Twin 5.0: Enabling Human‑Centricity in Data‑Driven Decision‑Making and Flexible Automation” funded by the Research Council of Norway, and the project “NextIndustryAI – AI powered Workforce and Industrial Processes” funded by the EU InterReg Aurora programme.
