Overview
An exciting PhD position is available at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology at UiT in Narvik. The position lasts four years: three years of research and one year of teaching and other duties. The position will be affiliated with the research group “Intelligent Manufacturing and Logistics” and its interrelated Technological Competence Center for Arctic Logistics Operations (ArcLog).
Research Field
The PhD fellow will work on the project “Digital Reverse Logistics Twin 5.0: Enabling Human‑Centricity in Data‑Driven Decision‑Making and Flexible Automation”, funded by the Research Council of Norway under the FRIPRO program, and the project “NextIndustryAI – AI powered Workforce and Industrial Processes”, funded by the EU InterReg Aurora program. The focus is on human‑centric digital‑twin solutions for reverse‑logistics operations in the High North Arctic region.
